GATE KEEPER OF THE COSMOS | 2018

As an ode to history and nostalgic African art, this piece was commissioned on unstretched canvas for a client in Houston, TX. The man and woman give energy of strength, support, royalty and purity. The woman, who is held up by her counterpart, holds two West African Adinkra symbols in balance: the left mark “Osram ne Nsoromma” meaning love, faithfulness and harmony, and the right symbol “Dwennimmen” representing humility and wisdom.
