FEMME FRUITALE + SWEET MORNING DEW | 2025

Janel Young was one of several artists paired up with a local brewery for beer label artwork to spice up the Barrel + Flow beer festival. The festival (previously known as Fresh Fest) is geared toward amplifying Black brewers + breweries, local musicians + visual artists.

In 2025, Young collaborated with Clarion River Brewing + the combination of Human Robot + Brockton Beer. The all-women’s collaboration produced “Femme Fruitale” with a divine character as the artwork.

Her sixth overall design with the Philadelphia brewery was all about the magic of Hip Hop + R&B. The “Sweet Morning Dew” illustration features a dew-covered flower, warm sun + an optical illusion blooming from the flower’s center: the words “Mary & Method” in reference to Mary J. Blige + Method Man’s hit single.
